BAR LAZY J Guest Ranch is nestled in a peaceful valley along the banks of the Colorado River. Opened in 1912, BAR LAZY J is considered the oldest continuously operating guest ranch in the state. The ranch has a fascinating history and you will enjoy stepping into the past. While the original lodge and cabins have been modernized, the look and charm of the "old west" still remains. We are proud that BAR LAZY J was one of three Colorado guest ranches recently featured in the book "Old-Time Dude Ranches Out West" by Elizabeth Clair Flood. We can accommodate 42 guests in cozy, comfortable log cabins. The cabins can sleep from two to eight and all have screened porches with a view of the Colorado River. Relaxation is what we offer at BAR LAZY J. The pace is slower ... or not at all. The choice is always YOURS as to what you participate in. Our guest ranch is open May through September .

Horseback Rides
Our horseback rides take you through the Arapaho National Forest's sage-covered hills and majestic mountians, with it's sapphire skies and crystal-clear views. Twice a day we have rides on numerous riding trails covering a variety of mountain terrain. We also offer breakfast and all day rides. Our wranglers carefully consider experience and ability before pairing you with your horse for the week. Personalized instructional rides are available.

Children (7-12): $1095.00
Children (3-6): $895.00

Discount weeks are available during late May/early June and September. September will be adults only. Rates are subject to 4.5% sales tax. (Tipping is left to the discretion of our guests. 10-15% is customary if our staff's services please you.) Hope to see you this summer!
