There is a dude ranch out west where the Colorado River runs off the Continental Divide and winds its way through mountain valleys. It's a land of green meadows, blue skies, and clean air. This is Colorado ranch country, and has been for over 90 years. Things have changed some since the early days, but the history of horseback riding, fly fishing, family and vacation remain a stronghold of tradition that passes down from one generation to the next.
Since 1919, The C Lazy U guest and dude ranch has been celebrated around the world for its rich history, rustic elegance and legendary cuisine. Not only the premier Dude Ranch in Colorado, but the only guest ranch in North America to have ever achieved both the Five Star & Five Diamond awards as one of the best resorts in the country.
There is something (and then some) for everyone, no matter what the season. Kids enjoy adventure & discovery while adults do everything they want, or nothing at all. C Lazy U Ranch prides itself on providing a high level of personal service, professional horsemanship practices and clinics, enriching children's programs, and upscale western-style accommodations, all amidst 8,200 acres of the most breathtaking Rocky Mountain vistas.
A new addition to the ranch, the full-service C Lazy You Spa, has taken 'relaxation' to an entirely new level; luxurious yurts double as treatment rooms, many with glass-floor 'windows' uniquely positioned near the Willow Creek, allowing guests a glimpse of the creek running by as they enjoy their massage or facial. Another extraordinary option that is fairly new is 'Glamping', their version of luxury camping; treat your loved ones to a night of star-gazing by spending the night in a fully-furnished yurt 'camp', equipped with electricity, down comforters, and Smore's kits to roast over your very own fire. Wake up to the sun rising over the Continental Divide and the Willow Creek Reservoir.
Corporations and groups enjoy this Colorado ranch as a private and secluded retreat destination. All fully complemented by their signature 5-SPUR SERVICE!TM and amenities that pamper.

Activities & Programs
Horseback Riding
It is the philosophy of the ranch to provide a horsemanship and riding program which stresses the importance of patience, respect and mutual understanding between horse and human. The ranch offers a variety of horses ranging from gentle to spirited, and horses are assigned to guests according to their riding ability for the duration of their stay. Each day, guests may choose a slow, medium or fast trail ride or participate in one-on-one training in either the indoor or outdoor arena. The week culminates with a competitive and entertaining Saturday afternoon complete with adult equestrian skill events while children exhibit the horsemanship skills they have acquired throughout the week.
Children's Program
Offering fun and educational activities, the comprehensive summer and winter programs at C Lazy U are organized by creative and energetic counselors. Children are divided into three groups according to age (3 to 5 year olds; 6 to 12 year olds; and teens), and eat lunch and dinner with their peers and counselors as part of the program. In an effort to maintain a balance between family and adult time, children enjoy breakfast with their parents and rejoin them in the evening for after-dinner activities.
Shopping
Luis Old Place, a Western boutique, has a wide range of souvenirs and gifts including cowboy hats, fine Indian jewelry crafted by the area's best jewelers, designer Western clothing and sundries, to name a few. Guests also can travel into the town of Granby or Winter Park for off-site shopping excursions.
Complimentary Shuttle Service
The ranch offers complimentary shuttle service for all off-ranch excursions, including the mountain resort areas (Winter Park and Silver Creek), snowmobiling and rafting locations and golf course.
