Dude Kid Ranch
Most of
the Grand County Dude Ranches have kid ranch programs. From a kid
perspective, they are not at a dude ranch, but a kid ranch. With
programs for all ages, your children will have more fun than you.
Family time is prevalent at the ranches, but everyone needs a little alone time too.
Latigo
Ranch offers special programs for various age groups. Infants, 3-5
years, 6-7 years and 8-13 years. The older children spend much more
time refining their riding skills, while the younger kids get
experience a variety of dude ranch activities. Dude Kid Ranch at Latigo
Bar Lazy J Dude Ranch also groups kids by age and involves all
kids in Arts and Crafts activities, Swim, Hike, Play Games and learn
Horsemanship Skills.
Drowsy Water Dude Ranch has 2 programs.
One for kids 5 and under and another for kids 6-13. The older age group
works on their riding skills and other
group activities to do such as an obstacle course, horse brushing,
swimming, hiking, lassoing a steer head, and other group activities.
The younger kids participate
in activities like horseback rides around the ranch, games, crafts, and
picnic hikes. The counselors can take care of any individual needs
